QUIMPER (Henriot) ~Antique Faience INKWELL w/POTS & PEN REST (Breton Lady) ~ France
Description of item...Here we have a wonderfulantique hand made and decorated faience (glazed ceramic ware) INKWELL with two removable INK POTSand a front PEN REST made by HENRIOTQUIMPER of Quimper, Francein the "Henriot (Lady Center)" pattern. It is decorated with a center Breton peasant lady, green and orange floral designs, and blue edge borders.It measures approx. 5-3/4" long x 4-1/4" wide x 1-3/4" high. It is good maintained (used-displayed) overall condition - commensurate with its age - with no cracks or crazing, but does show a small sliver/slice chip on the front rest (see photos #7 & #8)...which is not obviously noticeable nor offensive. The bottom is marked, "HENRIOT ~ QUIMPER ~ FRANCE."Came from a private home collection of many years, however the exact age is unknown,pattern started in 1880, inkwell circa 1922.This itemweighs approx. 3/4 lb., add 2 lbs. or so for the packing box and packing material. I combine shipping when safe and practical for all items purchased.
