Vintage RAYMOND LOEWY Concorde On-Board Cutlery or Flatware — Pair Of Knives For Air France Flights, Circa 1961

This is a vintage, original, cutlery/flatware set designed by French-American industrial designer Raymond Loewy specifically for use on Air France Concorde flights only.

Loewy is considered the "father of industrial design" and has created some of the most iconic objects and designs, such as the original Coca Cola bottle but also the white-blue-chrome livery of the Air Force One.

Both items are made of steel and the handle is made of dark brown bakelite and the Air France logo is embossed on each handle. There is also a "DESIGN CEI" stamp which stands for Compagnie de L'Esthétique Industrielle, the design studio founded by Loewy.

This item is displayed at many museums around the world and is a very unique item for all industrial design fans and Concorde aficionados.

Condition: Both items have been used and show slight signs of wear.
