Rare Tiny Antique Folky Bird, Painted Cast Iron, American, 19th Century. For Sale

This is an extremely rare miniature folky sculpture of a cute yellow bird, crafted from cast iron and painted with simple details. Charming and whimsical, this is a lovely American figurine. Likely made in Pennsylvania, it has a freshness that reminds me of so many of the wonderful bird carving that were whittled in Lancaster County. I believe it is from the 19th century. A lovely patina.
