We bought this 20 years ago from a dealer/friend, an importer of both Antique and new Chinese and other Asian goods. It is a heavy (about 20 pounds) piece, with a frame about 27x28.5\", a shadow box 3+inches deep and 21x23\", The frame is matted, and the \'picture window\' opening to show the bronze or brass ram is 12x14\". The figurine itself is about 7x8\". The frame is wood; the shadowbox backed by Masonite and presumably made of the same material.
It is Very hard to photograph because of the reflections, but it is a dramatic piece, very attractive. I do not know the age of the figurine. It is a wonderful way to display an antique artifact.
I do not know how old the artifact is. It looks old, but I know nothing more. Two Chinese coins are set below the ram (picture 5).
