Steamship SS Great Eastern Original Albumen Cabinet Photo 1870's For Sale

Up for sale is an 1870's original and extremely hard to find albumen cabinet photo of the Steamship "SS Great Eastern" whos keel was laid on May 1st 1854, Launched January 31st 1858, and made her Maiden Voyage August 1859. She was first named the "Leviathan" then renamed on her maiden voyage the "SS Great Eastern". She was known as the largest passenger ship in the world at the time. The SS Great Eastern helped in laying the Transatlantic Telegraph Cable. She could also carry over 4,000 passenger's, and had 18 lifeboats later downsized to 20 lifeboats. There were 4 decks, 4 steam engines for the paddles and an additional engine for the propeller. The SS Great Eastern had nicknames such as "The Great Ship" "Great Babe" and "Leviathan". She was finally broken up, and taken apart in 1889-1890 at New Ferry on the River Mersey, it took 18 months to take her apart.
