Stupendous HUGE Length Antique French Black Chantilly Lace c1880s 9ft x 6ft
An extremely rare find. This has to be the largest and prettiest piece of chantilly lace that I have ever found. Cut from a bolt, one end has the selvedge, the other is rough cut. It is in excellent antique condition with one detached area requiring a couple of stitches to one top edge (last photo).
Beautiful scolloped edge with fine flower heads set onto a fine net tulle of dots and tiny sprigs. Perfect for any type of period project, dress, TV companies etc. Photographed against a white linen sheet so that you can see the pattern.
