This sword is a universal swords French briquet saber it comes with a scabbard that has brass fittings the blade has a patina on it making it look black and the handle is solid brass with the top part of the guard cut off to allow modern saber fencing techniques it does have a small hole in the brass but it does not affect performance it is very sharp it is 30 inches long
