Unsmoked Morta Bog Oak Rustic Apple Pipe-Straight, Black Acrylic Bit For Sale

From the workshop of Robert Turkiewicz. Morta or big oak is a rare and highly prized material is obtained from fossilized trees found in wetland environments such as marshes, rivers, and lakes. With unique properties that make it highly resistant to fire and heat, morta has become a popular choice for artisans creating one-of-a-kind smoking pipes. This piece is a lovely apple with a spare bit. About 5 1/2” long, bowl is 1 5/8” tall, 1 5/ 8” wide. ID 3/4”, depth 1 3/8”. Marked only TURKIEWICZ beneath shank. No other marks detected.

Bit is well-seated push fit, 9mm filter, clean and polished, showing no bite wear. Stummel has 1/8” white metal spacer, body is black, blasted with excellent grain orientation, clean rim and bowl. Lovely grip!
