This interesting piece of East Indian Folk Art features a classic Madhubani watercolor and ink painting of two Hindu Deities (under glass) and six charming hand-cast Dhorka brass openwork plaques with figures engaged in agricultural pursuits.
All are presented in a dark finish handmade wooden frame. Probably made about 1975-99, this visually interesting wall decoration represents two of India's most notable indigenous folk art styles. This piece is in excellent condition.
Condition: Excellent. Painting under glass, brass plaques, and the wooden frame are undamaged with minimal wear.
