Vintage Metropolitan Life building souvenir mirror circa 1909. Small gold painted metal hand mirror decorated with floral designs and and a shield with an image of the Metropolitan Life building and the words "Metropolitan Life Building, N.Y. Highest Building in the World". Length 4 1/2 inches, mirror diameter 2 1/4 inches. Minor losses to silver on back of mirror; some minor wear to gold paint -- good age appropriate condition. The Metropolitan Life Building in New York City was the tallest building in the world from 1909 to 1913.
