What a charming piece! It is 3 3/4 inches wide x 2 1/2 inches tall x 1/2 inch thick. I\'ve had it sitting on a shelf with my Scottiecollection for decades. It came from an antique shop and I do love it, but it is time to downsize and share. The Pyraglass Company that made this piece was in business from the 1920\'s-50\'s. The process they inventeddevised a way to seal wood with cellulose acetate under heavy steam pressure. The acetate seal could cover any paper product set on the wood without harming it in the sealing process. It preserved it clear and flat and easy to maintain. The seal on this particular picture remains firm--like new. There are a couple light scratches/dings on the piece. The black blotches on the dark frame around the dogs actually may have been on the original picture. There is no damage to the original seal of the piece from these spots. I think they add character anyway. Notice the greeting on the back \"ToHarriet from Virginia\" and the Pyraglass label.Be sure to check out all photos; they are part of the description.
