This vintage seashell is a stunning piece for any collector. The Bear Paw clamshell of the Hippopus Hippopus species measures 8 3/4 inches in length and 6 inches in width, weighing a total of 3.25 pounds. In the last of my displayed pictures, I put a light behind it and it is glowing. It looks pretty neat that way too . There are some beautiful other crustations embedded on the outer shell , I just noticed while looking at the pics.
