View Larger Image   Starrett No. 172A Thickness Gage Gauge w/Box   Description: This a very clean, used thickness or feeler gage set that is marked "THE L.S. STARRETT CO. ATHOL MASS. U.S.A. NO. 172-A PAT. NO. 221764-8". It measures 3.3" long overall. It is in very good working order, very good pivot joint that has the lock nut feature, no wear on the gages noted, and each one is marked to it's respective size. We note the end of the .002" thick gage has been torn off, leaving about 2/3" in good condition. There is no rust, a few minor scratch on the outside case, no damage, and no owner's markings. A quality made tool, by a well known maker! The original box is marked "NO. 172A THICKNESS GAGE 9 LEAVES .0015, .002, .003, .004, .005, .008, .010, .012, .015 WITH LOCKING DEVICE THE L.S. STARRETT CO. ATHOL MASS. U.S.A. " on the top label. The box is solid, some minor wear, and some minor shop dirt and darkening noted.
