This is an original early 20th-century business card for G.J. Palmer’s Variety Job Shop, located at 401 Cambridge Street, Allston, Massachusetts. The shop advertised a wide range of repair and handyman services, including:
Carpentry
Cabinet work
Furniture repairing
Locks fixed
Keys made
The card features a vintage telephone exchange number: STadium 3276, which places it in the Boston area before the adoption of all-digit dialing (generally 1920s–40s).
Printed on cardstock, measuring approx. 2.25\" x 3.5\", with black ink on white stock. Reverse side is blank.
A nice example of small-town tradesman advertising, with strong Boston/Allston local history interest.
