Item Description:
This listing is for an absolutely charming, museum-quality authentic Antique Real Photo Postcard (RPPC) dating to the early 1900s (Edwardian Era). This incredible standalone studio portrait features a highly expressive, adorable young boy beautifully styled as a miniature farmer or gardener.
Visual & Fashion Highlights:
The photographic clarity on this card is spectacular, capturing exceptional costume details and textures:
• The Outfit: The young boy is dressed in classic striped denim work overalls over a crisp white long-sleeve shirt, perfectly accented by an oversized, patterned fabric bow tie.
• The Props & Staging: He stands proudly while holding a wooden farm tool or miniature gardening rake, positioned on a textured studio floor designed to look like straw or leaves.
• The Statement Hat: Crowning his look is a comically massive, wide-brim woven straw hat that beautifully frames his serious, wide-eyed, and endearing expression.
Condition Notes:
This antique RPPC is in overall very good condition, retaining excellent contrast, deep sepia tones, and strong image crispness. As is standard for genuine paper ephemera well over a century old, there is light age-appropriate wear along the white outer borders and slight softening on the corner tips. The reverse side of the postcard is completely blank and unposted, leaving this charming little subject unidentified.
