Antique Hand-Pieced Chimney Sweep / Album Block Quilt Top – Early 1900s

Beautiful old hand-pieced patchwork quilt top featuring the traditional Chimney Sweep pattern, also known as the Album Block design.

This charming unfinished quilt top measures approximately 64½ x 56 inches and features an especially interesting assortment of antique-style cotton prints. The fabrics include rich burgundy and brown florals, unusual yellow-green and dark green prints, soft pink florals, small geometric designs, and striped fabrics, all arranged around contrasting cream-colored crosses.

The variety of fabrics gives this quilt top wonderful character and makes it especially appealing to collectors of early American quilts and antique textiles.

Age and Construction:
