This superb/Rare Old Bamileke Crcocodile Helmet mask from Cameroon is a magnificent hand carvedof one piece of wood, with a striking dramatic design that showcases its agethrough wear, scratches, cracks, chips, and repairs (using leather and nails). Itscarving depicts a part cock part crocodile known as a storyteller. The cock cries four times a day to indicatethe time of day that is connected to the daily activities of tribal life.

Upon moving to Detroit for business in the early 2000s, wequickly immersed ourselves in the local art community.
