43536 - Opium
43540 - Morphine (with Potassium Bromide - a sedative/hypnotic)
43570 - Cantharidal Collodion for baby, dated October 21, 1887.
43570 is written by J.D. McGregor, MD, on a prescription pad that shows... "J.D. McGregor & Bro., Druggists, Kenneyville, Texas." It appears that the doctor also owned the pharmacy - but this prescription was filled in Brenham, Texas, by Joseph Tristram, Druggist & Apothecary.Paregoric is camphorated tincture of Opium.
Potassium Bromide is a sedative/hypnotic.These original prescriptions are over 138 years old!The prescriptions are approximately 4" x 5.5".
