Joseph B Foraker OH Governor Signed Photo w Ribbon & Cello Charm 1916 For Sale

Here is an original photograph of Ohio Governor Joseph B. Foraker (1886-1890) and former Ohio Senator (1897-1909), that is mounted on card stock and has been embellished with a Foraker silk ribbon and a celluloid charm that depicts the Ohio State Seal. A mountain was named after him in Alaska, Mount Foraker, the 2nd highest peak in the Alaska Range, in 1899. In it's entirety the photograph and its cardboard backing measures 13" x 18" and you can see construction paper embellishments in the upper left corner. The Foraker silk ribbon has been glued onto the construction paper and part of the photograph and has some wear as evidenced by the scan _ it is in fragile condition. Also at one point the celluloid charm, part of a ribbon, was glued to the photograph, but it has come loose. The celluloid charm measures approx. 1.75" and has a beautiful depiction of Ohio's state seal of a sunrise over mountains, a river and a field with a standing sheaf of wheat and a sheaf of arrows. It is signed at the bottom: Very Truly, etc. J.B. Foraker and below his signature is what I presume to be the recipient's signature dated June 16, 1916 Cincinnati Ohio - the name appears to be H.P. Dabury, Esquire. To the right of that is a Studio embossing which I can't quite make out, also from Cincinnati Ohio. Despite these shortcomings this remains a wonderful Foraker collectible and it's very suitable for framing which I will leave up to you. Thanks for looking at this sale.
