This is a traditional Kumano calligraphy brush purchased directly from Gyokushindo (玉信堂製筆) in Japan.
The brush is marked “八号” (No. 8) and “紫雲” (Shiun) on the handle.
It is a larger and slightly thicker calligraphy brush, suitable for bold Japanese calligraphy and Shodo.
