Rare Hokkaido Ammonite & Polyptychoceras Fossil Display with Wooden Stand
This impressive fossil display features several ammonites measuring approximately 8.0 cm, 4.5 cm, and 2.0 cm, together with specimens believed to be Polyptychoceras, a distinctive heteromorph ammonite.
The fossils are from Hokkaido, Japan, an area internationally known for its Cretaceous ammonite fossils.
The previous owner personally collected and prepared fossils mainly from river areas around Yubari, Haboro, Mukawa/Hobetsu, and Obira in Hokkaido.
The combination of multiple ammonites, unusual elongated fossil forms, and the dark matrix gives this specimen a striking three-dimensional appearance. It makes an attractive display for a fossil collection, study, office, living room, or cabinet.

Important Condition Information:
This is an old, previously collected and prepared fossil specimen. The previous owner appears to have processed parts of the specimen for decorative display. It may contain repaired, reinforced, reconstructed, repositioned, or adhered areas.
Natural cracks, chips, surface wear, missing areas, and preparation marks are present. Please carefully examine all photographs to evaluate the condition and authenticity for yourself.
The wooden stand is included; however, it was not custom-made for this particular stone. The fossil does not fit the stand perfectly and may not sit completely securely or evenly.
Due to the delicate nature of the specimen, the fossil and wooden stand may be packed separately for safer transportation.
