Rare Penobscot Indian Porcupine Open Sewing Basket For Sale

Rare hard to find porcupine open sewing basket with receptacle on all four sides and and handles on either side completed with stepped base. We believe this basket was made by the Penobscot Indians. The basket does not appear to have any breaks. Minor discoloration on interior four corners from some material that may have been left inside. In very good condition for its age. Stands approximately 4 1/8" tall x 9 1/2" square at the top x 6" square at the stepped base.
