Description: Rare vintage Torito de Pucará bull figurine from Peru, circa 1950s-1970s. Body is carved mahogany hardwood with genuine age-appropriate shrinkage cracks consistent with a mid-century piece. Decorated throughout with silver accents including large repoussé floral medallions, berry cluster studs, decorative saddle band, pierced yoke handle, teardrop tassel, and a small candle holder on the back. Silver accents are non-magnetic and polishing cloth turned jet black — both consistent with sterling silver. Quality and style consistent with known Peruvian sterling silver folk art of this period. Buyer to satisfy themselves as to metal content. A genuine piece of Peruvian folk art history.
