🔹 JOHN PRIMBLE 5514-S FOUR-BLADE STOCKMAN 🇺🇸
Here is an exceptionally clean American-made John Primble four-blade serpentine stockman carrying the Maysville, Kentucky tang stamp. It measures 3 7/8” closed and features deeply textured rough black synthetic handles, nickel-silver bolsters, brass liners, and the distinctive JP shield.
The master clip blade retains a remarkably bold “John Primble Finest Steel” etch with the Goods of Honour emblem and #5514-S pattern designation. All four blades appear full and retain what look to be their factory edges.
All four blades have good snap with no wobble. The action includes a soft pause near the halfway position on certain blades rather than a firm, positive half stop. This same action has been observed on other Maysville-stamped Primble patterns and appears consistent with their factory tang geometry.
The rough black synthetic handles have no chips or cracks. The knife presents extremely well throughout, with clean blades, tight construction, attractive brass liners, and very little evidence of use.
This is the four-blade version of the traditional serpentine stockman, adding a pen blade to the familiar clip, sheepfoot, and spey arrangement. It is a substantial 3 7/8” pattern with plenty of old-school Primble character.
