Pair of early Canadian military badges from the 88th Regiment(Victoria Fusiliers) of Victoria, British Columbia.
Each gilt badge features the regiment's distinctive flaming grenadedesign with a beaver above the raised numeral 88 and a lower scrollreading:

The 88th Regiment (Victoria Fusiliers) was authorized in Victoria,British Columbia in 1912.
The regiment existed during the First World War period and wasamalgamated with the 50th Regiment in 1920 to form The CanadianScottish Regiment.
The two badges have different rear attachment configurations, asclearly shown in the photographs.
