WWI U.S. Army Doughboy Uniform Group - Wool Tunic & Breeches, 2 Cotton Breeches:
$350.00

These vintage US Army uniform components came from a Maine country sale and are from the WWI era. All pieces appear to have been cleaned before being put into storage. Both the wool tunic and the wool breeches have numerous, small moth holes. The jacket/tunic has brass buttons with the "US" brass disk insignia on the stand-up collar, and is made of olive drab wool serge material, with a cotton lining. It measures about 38.5 inches around the chest. Note the missing buttons. Otherwise, excellent condition. The breeches, also made of olive drab wool serge, have two missing metal buttons at the fly and a 1.5" long break in the stitching as a seam on the right leg. Otherwise, in excellent condition. The waist measures about 32 inches. The light, olive drab, cotton breeches have all five of their metal buttons and are in excellent condition -- just missing one leg lace. Interestingly, these pants are all original, but the fabric for a couple of belt loops and the cotton twill binding at the bottom on the left leg is greener in tone than the rest of the garment. The waist measures about 31-32 inches. The light, khaki color breeches also have all five metal buttons and are without any structural damage. There are some circular marks on the front that were caused by the corrosion of the metal buttons coming into contact with the fabric. The leg laces are missing from these and there are stains on the back of the left leg, possibly from oil, as shown in the photo. The waist measures about 32 inches. These have no tears to the fabrics and no holes other than the moth holes in the wool pieces. In all, everything is in very good shape.MEASUREMENTSWOOL JACKET -
