Antique & Vintage Photographs EST. 1998 Thames Sailing Barge Cabby Moored 1949 Ken Law VTG Photo
This is a silver gelatin photograph that is unmounted and is 3½ x 2½ inches (90x65mm).
It shows the spritsail barge \'Cabby\' lying at anchor on open water, seen from the stern quarter. The name \'Cabby\' is painted on the quarter, and partial lettering ending \'..ester\' is visible on the stern. The mainsail is brailed up against the mast and the topmast stands above it, with a deckhouse and stowed gear aft and a small rowing boat at the right edge. A larger vessel lies in the distance behind the barge, with a low, flat shoreline along the horizon under an overcast sky.
The reverse has the name \'Cabby\' and what appears to read \'1/49\' in blue ink. A pencil note below appears to read \'Ken Law Photo\'.
