View Larger Image   Audels Plumbers & Steam Fitters Guide Set 1925 Rare!   Description: This is a very good, clean complete first edition set of Audels Plumbers & Steam Fitters Guides, Volumes 1-4, (Copyright in 1925 Volume 1-3, 1926 Volume 4). They are all in very good condition with a leather like cloth soft-covers in dark green color (rare color), with gold lettering on the spine, and gold page edges. The outside covers are in very good shape, very little sign of wear or use, all are well attached, not torn or separated. Note the nicely embossed design on the front covers. All have good bindings and hinges, clean pages with very minor age toning around the outside edges of the pages mostly, no scribbling, torn or missing pages noted, minimal corner wear or minor bumped corners and some green color wear at bottom and top of spine area mostly. A few pages have fold creases inside a few of the volumes. We note that each volume lays flat on a table top. The gold gilt pages edges are light worn but about 97% gold gilt intact. We note the only minor flaw is there is a tiny hole drilled into the side of Volume 4 at the page edge border area. The tiny hole leaves a tiny missing part of the page on about 20 pages. This in not in the text area, considered a minor issue. This is a condition that is created in part due to the way these book are bound, but happens over the years from fully opening the volume. These lines are not cuts, more like creases. Overall a nice looking, and complete set! Size of each book: 5.0" x 6.7". About 1900 pages total, with thousands of diagrams, pictures and instructions on about every known subject on plumbing work in this period, including: Mathematics, physics, measuring devices, materials, sheet metal, various hand tools and how to use them properly, lead work soldering, joint wiping, bending beating, sanitation water supply, drainage, sewage disposal, Soil pip and joints, fittings, valves faucets and cocks, fixtures, boiler fittings, marine pipe fitting, flexible water tubing, heating & ventilation, steam heating boilers, refrigeration, air conditioning, oil burners, gas burners, meters etc., gas appliances, drawings, how to read drawings, geometry, pattern cutting, boiler plate work, blacksmithing, brazing, gas engines, oil engines, electric motors, are many of the subjects covered in this set.
